Apple Marketing Chief Phil Schiller just announced Apple’s new lineup of MacBook Pros with Retina display on Tuesday, October 22nd at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco. The new machines have received enhanced graphics, processors and RAM(random-access memory) as it showed on the Apple product event.
The MacBook Pro upgrade is mainly focused on the hardware configuration, and does not have many improvements in appearance. It continues 13/15 inch model with Retina screen. The 70% increase of performance improvement is the main characteristic, compared to the previous generation MacBook Pro—by upgrading the processor to the Intel’s fourth-generation Smart Core processor (Haswell platform).
The new 13 inch MacBook Pro is thinner and lighter than before with 0.71 inches thick and 3.46 pounds weight. It uses Retina display model with 2.4Ghz core I5 and 4GB DRAM, 802.11ac Wi-Fi (3 times faster), PCIE flash storage and Thunderbolt 2 interface, which means faster speed even in the same circumstances. Powered by 4th generation Haswell chip, it comes for 90% faster graphics performance than the previous version. It also supports 9 hours of iTunes movie playback on a single charge.
Additionally, Apple also updated its 15 inch Retina MacBook Pro model. It has been updated to 2.0GHz Core i7 processor with 8GB DRAM and a 256GB SSD. Particularly, Crystalwell Iris Pro graphics makes it successful to achieve GeForce 750M graphics display. Now battery life has been up to 8-hours and it also has the faster PCIE flash, Thunderbolt 2, and OS X Mavericks.
By the way, Apple also has declared a lower price of the MacBook Pro Retina. The original price of 13 inch version $ 1,499 now is down to $ 1,299 and 15 inch is from the original price $ 2,199 down to $ 1,999. For the first time, Apple is making the machine available for under $2000.
Now that the 13/15 inch MacBook Pro are already on the market, you will be able to get them really soon. It is well known that Macgo Mac Blu-ray Player has already made it possible for people to enjoy Blu-ray movies on MacBook Pro. People can even watch Blu-ray on new iPad air and iPad mini or other Apple mobile devices by using AirX function on Mac Blu-ray Player.
