CES, also known as the Consumer Electronics Show, is a famous international electronics and technology trade show. With major companies attending, this show has drawn big attention of the world. The first ever CES was held back in 1967 in New York. Back then it was the major consumer electronics event. More than 17,000 people attended. And Motorola chairman Bob Galvin gave the opening speech. The whole thing was marvelous. Then from 1978 to 1994, CES was held two times a year. The first one was held in Las Vegas in January, which is called Winter Consumer Electronics Show; while the second one happened in June in Chicago, known as Summer Consumer Electronics Show. The show was then again held once a year since 1998, and Las Vegas was the one and only location of it.

Panasonic offered its latest prototype at CES 2014 – a local-dimming 4K LED TV. The company claims this new product delivers as great pictures as ZT60 plasma. Panasonic says the TV uses technology from the plasma range to analyze black-level signals and optimize the signal to reproduce shadow detail without losing the brightness of highlights. That’s what makes this TV so special. There are rumors that this TV will come out in 2014. Whether it’s true or not, I think it will really impress us.
